We hold much of our ancient land and are prepared to declare Al-Andalus. Ties between France and England have been intimate since the Norman Conquest, in which the Duke of Normandy, an important French fief, became King of England, while also owing feudal ties to the French crown. The relationship was never stable, and it only endured as long as the French crown was weak.

However, this is all about to change By uniting the Leopoldian and Albertinian lines of the house of Habsburg we will once again assert our influence over European politics and secure our place as the most prestigious member of the Holy Roman Empire. It is time to establish the nation of Belgium and unite the southern lowlands.

Unite, Flemings!

The glorious Byzantine Empire is gone, but as long as there are Greeks in Constantinople, there is hope of resurrection. We can take its place in spirit, but we cannot take its name unless we prove worthy Centuries ago the lands of Croatia were united.

Our kingdom stood proud and mighty until a succession crisis led to a personal union under Hungary. Now that we have the Croatian homeland firmly in our hands the time has come to end this age of servitude for our people and create a new independent kingdom. Trade has long been a foundation of English national policy.

By extending our influence across borders and controlling its political development domestically, we have managed to become one of the foremost European powers. Our colonial expansion is becoming a major factor in promoting our nation's economic growth, reinforcing our position in world affairs.

This year will mark the beginning of an evolutionary period for our nation. The old feudal ways will begin to make way for a more modern centralized nation. Although struggling financially due to miscalculated projects and military campaigns, we have managed to transform ourselves into one of the most dominant powers of Europe.

For years Hellas has been divided among several kingdoms or occupied by foreigners at the pleasing of our common enemies. To unite the Greek lands under a sole flag and one ruler is our only way to greatness.

The Northern Crusade has long come to an end. Our Crusader identity will soon bring us no more than nothing and maybe one day, it will eventually become a burden By secularizing the state and reforming it into a duchy which is led by the former Grandmaster and his knights - now the Duke and his vassals - we can rouse the state from decadence and ameliorate our diplomatic situation.

For too long we have been oppressed by foreign interlopers. It is time to raise the cockerel flag and form a new nation for our proud people. The nations of Arabia have long been withered and broken, perpetually subject to the fragmentation of outlandish barbarian warlords.

Let us unite this great continent, under the banners of Al-Arabia!

After conquering what seemed to be all the provinces needed, it seems that I cannot find the decision to form the Roman Empire. Do you happen to know why? Which provinces in Britain do I need besides London and York?

Showing 1 - 14 of 14 comments. Yaldabaoth View Profile View Posts. You need to actually own the provinces and can not be the Holy Roman Empire. You have to annex all your vassals.

Good luck. Last edited by Yaldabaoth ; 29 Aug, am. I thought that I means that cannot enact the last reform only and still be eligible. Rexxar View Profile View Posts. Just have to be Christian or Pagan and own the required provinces.

Roman Empire will remove all it's provinces from HRE once formed. Do you have the decision available and just cannot enact it? Or does the decision does not show up at all? If the latter something is wrong.

If the former it should tell you what is missing. Easy to overlook are the Canarian Islands, Madeira and the Azores. They are part of the Iberia region and therefore needed for the formation.

Tulduil - I just don't see it at all. It should be a decision like every other, right? Also, since it's alreadyI guess there is no time to switch to a German nation dow do you even do that in this situation? The Achievement requires some provinces not needed for the Formation of the Empire and once you formed Rome you can theoretically get rid of many provinces and still get the achievement.

Last edited by Tulduil Iphukiir ; 29 Aug, pm. It is part of the empire, but not my vassal, and I can't do a thing about it. I declare war on one of its allies and then annex it when it answers the call to war : I'll try that and keep you posted. I have 5 years left.As the united country, it can be formed by passing the last reform: Renovatio Imperii.

Upon doing that, the country becomes Holy Roman Empire but keeps the same ideas, religion, culture, government and capital. As a singular country, the Holy Roman Empire is a Catholic Prussian feudal monarchy who's capital is located in the Mittelmark area, North Germany region, of the Western Europe subcontinent.

In the monarchy will reform into a constitutional republic. As a Imperial nation, it existed between the historical dates of February 2, and July 12, Before passing the final reform, it always has a current Emperor, electors if not, rule is hereditary.

Passing the 5th reform makes the title hereditary and the electors' vote meaningless and princes Member states. Otherwise, the HRE dismantles. The pre-unification HRE can be dismantled and never recreated if a country is at war with the emperor, controls the capital of the latter and none of the Electors are out of the war.

EU4 - Timelapse - Roman Empire Restoration as Byzantium

Do you own all of the small islands in the Mediterranean? Last edited by Wolfy ; 21 Dec, am. Thanks a lot! Did this change with 1. To get Mare Nostrum you only needed to own the coastlines and be Roman Empire i. Well, unfortunatly, it didn't change anything to own Madeira, Azores and Canaries I didn't need them to form the Roman Empire but i think they are not requested for the Mare Nostrum achievement either.

From your screenshot it is kind of small so I am not completely sure I would say you are missing 2 provinces in North Africa that are not coastal but are required for achievement - Oujda and Tlemcen The Golden Century updated North Africa map but achievement was probably not updated with it.

Last edited by tonypa ; 22 Dec, am. Indeed, i missed Oujda and Tlemcen and they are required for the achievement. Thank you! Just have to wait for the end of the truce with Portugal now. I reported this as bug in Paradox bugs forum, these provinces clearly do not belong to the achievement anymore. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 21 Dec, am. Posts: 9. It's strongly advisable to play the The Roman Empire at the yearat its height according to the mod. Despite all the debuffs Rome gets, Rome is still very powerful militarily number one in fact and the largest nation at that time, with nothing serious to worry about. The only exception to this is Rome's one weakness: stability. Whatever you do, never get negative stability or else The Roman Empire is considered an interesting choice during this period.

The player should be careful for the Parthian military force which is powerful due to its cavalry. Ignore the rise of Christianity. Focus your missionaries on the various pagan religions to Hellenism until mid-late 's AD. This will maintain your religious unity and pave the way for the rise of Christianity. Once Chalcedonian begins to spread on its own at a quicker pace, you might want to consider converting and spreading the new faith over Hellenic territory as quickly as possible as your territories will be unhappy with the change.

Convert to Chalcedonian when you have plenty of administration points, max stability, and happiness in the realm. Spread Roman culture as close to Italy as possible with the intent of solidifying the Roman borders around Italy in case the Barbarian horde broke through the provinces.

England is too big to be added to the empire by the emperor, and England has non-german culture so they will prefer someone in the empire. Babou View Profile View Posts. You can become emperor if you have the right religion can be restricted to catholic or protestant depending of the outcome of the 30 years war. You need to get more electors voting for you than the other candidates.

Depending on how the electors vote you could win with 3 votes if everyone else get 2 votes or less. Try to find electors that don't really like the current emperor and don't vote for themselves.
